I went to lift my engine for the purpose of removing the oilpan, and while lifting it the rubber insulators on the engine mount ripped in half. I'm assuming what caused this is the fact that the metal part of the mount (the part which contains the bolt) was rusted to the frame.
Is this a serious problem, and where can I find replacement insulators?
not a problem at all...your motor mounts probably just tore from old age. Any parts store should have them for ya. I just replaced mine for 26 bucks a piece at autozone.
