“Western” mirrors

Got a set of mirror brackets (3 legged type 3). These appear identical to the type 11 except for the glass portion.

Question...what size is the glass frame on the type 3? They appear bigger than the 2 legged variety. Any sources for these? I don’t need exact repop, just close.

Thanks in advance for all thoughts!

1967/79 F100/350 TYPE 2 & TYPE 3 Western Juniors use the same mirror heads:

C7TZ-17723-A .. Mirror Head w/3 embossed vertical lines / 6" x 10" / Obsolete

MCDONALD OBSOLETE PARTS in Rockport IN has 1 = 812-359-4965.

TYPE 11 is completely different. These TYPES refer to 1973/79, because these mirrors were not known as such for 1967/72.

There's no pic like this in the 1964/72 catalog and TYPE 3 isn't pictured in this catalog.

I found this company that seems to have several varieties of the mirrors and mirror parts. https://chamcal.com

If you go to page 12 of the catalog, it seems the style 20901 is very close to FoMoCo style.
http://chamcal.com/wp-content/upload...ad-catalog.pdf

They also have lots of other bits for the mirrors. I ordered a set of the 20901 mirror heads from Bud and Tony's truck parts. www.budandtonystruckparts.com

This might be an option for some folks! I will post pics when I get them installed.

Nice catalog. I have the 3 leg West Coast mirrors with the Ford logo. They look almost just like the ones in the catalog. I want to get some round convex mirrors that match to cover the blind spot and use similar brackets to match. There looks like some good options in this catalog.

I ordered a complete rebuild kit on Ebay for the fasteners to clean up the mirrors. Priced this out to get from the local hardward store and they were pretty close, so I went with the kit.

Yeah, I just ordered the deluxe fastener kit from Doug (D’s Nuts). He is on eBay as dkbeam1.

$85 for the deluxe 3 legged kit with t bolts seems reasonable.

I did see where some guy was selling a nice set of 3 legged mirrors on eBay today for $460 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Camper...97.m4902.l9144

Not overly unreasonable considering I just spent $160 on bolts and mirror heads...

Perfect, that's who I ordered them from. I got the kit without the T bolts. I'll have to look again at those T bolts. I didn't see where the go on the mirrors I have. Looks like the TYPE 3 in the page NumberDummy posted, but with the mirror that has the three lines and the logo. I have screws going into the mirrors on mine. I thought these might be just for the two legged mirror.

Anybody know what the Type 1 Mirror is? Is that a convex mirror that would mount to the 3 legged Western Mirrors? I'm wanting to clear up the blind spot on the side for changing lanes and seeing the ground when backing up. Would this be an original factory option for that?

C5TZ-17696-A .. Panoramic (Convex) Outside Mirror 4 1/2" diameter - clamps to mirror bracket, has amber reflector lens on front / Obsolete

I had TYPE 2 Western Jr's on my '65 F100 with one of these mirrors on either side. They were an accessory introduced in 1965.

NOS PARTS SOURCE in Olathe KS has 1 = 913-220-5746. This source has not updated their inventory in quite a while, so they may not have it.

TISCHNER FORD SALES in Santaquin UT has 1 = 801-754-3281. Monday/Friday 8AM-6PM MST

Found these guys that say they have the mirror heads in stock. Reasonable price...

https://www.finditparts.com/products...cham-cal-20901

Also Bud and Tony's truck parts (linked above) says they have a case of them on hand...

cbrown9064 That's great. Now if we could find or get someone to repop the stainless arms.
