This is the third De-gas bottle for me. This one is leaking on the bottom, good thing I caught it in time .
The question I have is why is there a difference in the back in part, see images
They had to have changed suppliers or gone to more environmentally friendly plastic. I still have a good 2003 bottle and I'm not sure I want to put the new bottle I bought on.
I think there has to be some consideration of supporting the Wye pipe and taking the load off the bottom of the degas bottle with the newer replacements.
I have had an aftermarket Dorman for about two years with no issues and the Y pipe has a big brass ball valve hanging on it. My Motorcraft bottles cracked.
My Dorman lasted just over 3 years. Then developed cracks in the black plastic up top, where the harness runs above it. No idea why, no pressure on it.
Replaced with an aluminum degas bottle from Accurate Diesel

Have you possibly been running it a little hotter than normal? How about a possibility of some contaminations?
I see a lot of posts on that bottle, but mine lasted over 12 years (210k miles) and I only changed it out of "preventative maintenance" so that I wouldn't get bit in a remote location (and the plastic had gotten cloudy).
Hopefully my new one isn't the one w/ poor quality, but it certainly could be if they are still trying to save money on the part manufacturing!
There were some issues a few years back of OEM look alikes on the market. Some folks bought an "OEM" bottle online, not from the dealer, and got burned.
They looked authentic in a "OEM" box, but were knock off's from you know where.
Not saying this is the case here but it's been an issue on this and other parts.

I have had that happen with other items on Amazon. Complained and Amazon refunded my money.
Surprising, Motorcraft parts are usually heads and heels above aftermarket. In my experience the only part that needs to be aftermarket on our trucks is the EGR cooler, OEM for all other parts.
16+ years on my OEM. Replaced it in October with a used one from an 06 because it started leaking at a mold injection point and it had a 20 psi cap on it for 5+ years.
