Light and bells came on while at highway speed.
still on days later..ran codes withered my old reader, no codes. Private Shop says they couldn't get any either has to go to dealer. Educated guess is there is visible corrosion on the air bag sensor under drivers seat A good place to start...
What's the going rate these days to plug in diagnostics at the Stealership?
Try disconnecting your battery positive terminal for at least 15 minutes then re-connect and see if the issue and/or DTC's return.
Try another better equipped independent shop that maybe has a better or deeper level ECM scanner. If you can't find one of those talk to the dealership what their diagnostic cost is, typically 2 hours labor; ask also if that cost is waived if they do the repairs.
Hope this isn't anything serious or costly---some of these niggling little issues can be quite the distraction.

thanks for the battery tip! Yea, there's an X chevy dealer close by that sells late model everything, bought my Titan there years ago. Great idea! The local ford dealer is not a place I care to go to.
If that dealership is an all-brands place chances are they should have some fairly sophisticated scanning gear--more importantly the skill and knowledge to use it.
Its just downright sad factory franchise dealers seem to be the least competent for their own brands which baffles the dog crap out of me. In Ford's case they have available so much information and technology the dealers should be working at engineer levels. I had my own run-in with one of the service departments related to a reman'd engine I'd bought and installed NOT at their location. The amount of "misinformation" (aka lies) they spouted was astonishing. While the individual mechanics might be worthwhile getting past those fricking "service writers" is where nearly all the problems begin.
Anyway good luck with this---if you find the solution please post back and share---could be helpful to others.

I totally agree about the Service Writers, exactly where I had issues before as well as others I know did.
I will post my findings. Meanwhile when it warms a bit more, time to change the cam position sensor and a oil change.
Check the ABS sensors at the wheels and the ring tones that produce the signal for those sensors. Fray cables, dirt, unplug or rusted connectors. Same with the speed sensor on your transmission.

AOK, great advice. Just because we both ran scans and no codes came up it could be something that simple. Thanks much!
