The current (and fastest) version of Bluetooth only runs around 2Mbps.............if you can find a decent WIFI 802.11 adapter you'll be running nominally around 162.5Mbps and you'll notice a dramatic difference in performance on any number of WIFI-enabled scan tools.................

I agree with Smackdaddy but I side more with Forscan over Torque. And here are baseline numbers from my 05 at hot idle via Forscan to give you an idea. The app was about $5 for android and the elm327 bluetooth was about $15 on Amazon.
You wouldn't normally need to monitor all of these while driving but for diag they are handy.
