Anybody know an easy way to replace a pilot bushing on my f350? I removed t98 transmission today. Never had clutch issues but had pilot bushing problem on another vehicle in the past so keep worrying about it. I would like to leave bell housing in place. Can I remove pressure plate disc and pilot bushing through the access panel?

If you like to suffer, leave the bell on. Much easier to deal with the clutch with the bell off.
I just screwed a big bolt into my pilot bushing and torqued it ouf. YMMV on your truck, but again, whatever you do will be easier without having to work with a bell in the way.
You can change the clutch with the bell housing in place, I've done it twice, just requires a little wiggling and some patients.I didn't change the pilot bearing but I don't see why it couldn't be done.
Grease and turned down wooden alignment tool did the trick. I didn't realize bushing wss so big. I saw the split at top and thought that was the only part left and crank was hogged out.

Easy for me to say....
You are correct. It took longer to find bolt heads in 60 year grease accumulation than it did to pull bell off. Makes a huge difference having cab and front clip off. Now the flywheel issue. Can't find any machine shops to resurface. Cleaned up with palm sander.
