I screwed up a perfectly good fork and pressure plate by getting the fork in front of the release bearing instead of on it. I installed the fork after bolting the trasmission to the bell housing with the housing already bolted to the engine. Tough to get the fork aligned that way.
Would the proper way to install the fork be with the bell housing off the engine and bolted to the transmission so that you have aggod visual of the fork relative to the release bearing? Then bolt the 2 units (bell and tranny) together to the engine?
