94 f250 MT. A week or so ago my truck stalled a few times when I pushed the clutch in coming to a stop. Started right back up and idled. I found if I held it off idle, say 1500-2000 rpms, and let off the throttle fast it would stall. If I eased it back down to idle it would stay running. I switched tanks and it kept doing for a while, then cleared up and ran ok. Yesterday the problem came back but is worse. Its really hard to keep it idling, and now I need to give it about 1/4-1/3 throttle before it comes off idle.
I have a Facet electric pump with the clear bowl and I dont see any signs of air there. I think my IP is crapping out. Any ideas?
Fairly common. Just remove the fuel filter and fill it with ATF. Let the truck run for a minute and then shut her down and let her set overnight. The next day, you'll find that you wont be able to force the stall on decel anymore, even when trying. I've tried all the cleaners to cure this and nothing has cured it like the ATF does. In fact it works so quick, I've found you don't even need to let the truck set with the ATF in the IP but probably best.

Couldnt have said it better. The metering valve is sticking, "fixed" two of my pumps running a bit of atf through them.
you can always test the Transfer pump pressure and the housing pressure too. For sure sounds like Min-Max Governor related (this includes the metering valve)
