Idle Problem
I just recently got my '84 300 running again. It idles fine on its own, but after you drive around and then push in the clutch it will stall. If you hold down the gas a little and then ease it out it will idle, but that gets old doing it at every stop light. Any Ideas? There is what looks like an Idle contol thingie on the throttle. Isn't that supposed to catch the idle from dropping? How can I check it?

cw, I think you have the idle control solenoid on your model, and it sounds like it is either a little weak, or is sticking. Try lubeing it with WD-40, or something similiar, before going further.
