The family needs to quit growing. I feel like I'm singing the 12 days of Christmas every time I talk about it. 4 cats, 3 kids 1 dog, 1 baby on the way, and a bearded dragon (which is currently in Catherine's classroom thankfully!) That's it!! No MORE!!!
We have a guy here in town that is a great Santa Claus. He goes to Hospitals, Retirement Homes, and has even been Santa inside of peoples houses and will let kids get a glimps of Santa during the night. His family also puts on a display like we do (ours is better) and he ask's nothing for these things, just the smiles. So, Wheeldon Family Lights (facebook page, tell all of your friends to like it, we need the likes) is paying back Santa for what he does for this city. I throw away nothing if I think I, or somebody else can use it. So along with what I've saved up from different projects, and a trip to our local hardware store (no discount, no name mentioned, I tried) we're giving Santa his own chair, that hopefully he can use for several years. It isn't finished yet, there a butt load of sanding to do, and yes it will end up with some lights on it, it has to, we're Christmas guy's. Tomorrow and Saturday evening, Lexington is having it's yearly trolley tours through the town to look at Christmas lights/displays, and Santa will be here tomorrow evening. And we'll officially give Santa his chair tomorrow evening, if I get back in the garage and get it finished.....
It's stands a solid 7' tall, and 40" wide, just the right size for the big guy, and a little or big kid.
