Fuel frustrations
Fuel frustrations
Hey everyone! I could really use some help here. Im working on a 1994 F150 5.0 4x4, regular cab, short bed. I just replaced the fuel pump and sending unit in the single tank mounted at the rear. After everything was installed I tried to start it and got nothing. I checked that it was wired correctly, checked and replaced the relay and made sure the inertia switch was all good. I noticed a connector next to the headlight **** where the switch for dual tanks would go and an empty spot on the cluster bezel for the same thing. I got a selector switch for a dual tank truck and plugged it in. When set to "front tank" the truck fired right away. Switch to rear and it died. Back to front, back to life. My question is what does that connector plug in to for a single tank setup? I've searched EVERYWHERE and I can't find any info. There's not even anything in the Haynes manual. Wiring diagrams just say "selector switch for dual tanks or jumper switch for single tank." Does anyone know what it's called? I can't find squat! Please...I know it's probably something simple but im stuck. Thank you for the help!!
