i have a 1995 f150 4.9. The front fuel tank has not run for awhile. when it is on the rear tank it runs fine, when i switch it to the front tank the engine dies. i have checked the ground on the radiator support and its fine, replaced the relay, checked the fuel shutoff switch and it is work ing. I recently have replaced both fuel pumps, sending units, and tank selector switch. front tank still will not work.
If i run a jumper wire on the back of the switch the front tank will turn on and the truck will run. I cant rememeber the colors but it was a main power wire to the pump power wire I also think it was the bottom two wires on the switch.
I do not know what to say. You say you put power on the wire at the selector switch and the pump runs. You say the other pump runs when selected by the selector switch.
So the problem has to be right at the selector switch or its plug.
Now you say you have replaced the selector switch and it still does not run.
It sounds like you are pulling my leg on this one so by by.
