#!@$#@$#@$@#!@ REGENS
I figured that would be the case but I had to try to be objective and mention all options to OP. Frankly, I always thought emissions on tuning would be bad for regen and MPG since the tuning probably dumps more fuel to increase power but the extra fuel also means more soot that accumulates in the DPF thus requiring more frequent regens to clean DPF which also results in lower mpg. It's similar to how running the highest tune on a deleted truck would result in more black smoke, due to more fuel, compared to a low hp tune but at least the soot can exit the tailpipe as opposed to getting trapped in the DPF. IDK if this logic is correct or not, maybe somebody can chime in, but it's how i've always perceived it to work.
I just completed an OCR, 453 miles since my last regen. I will say that i have seen a fairly large increase in mileage between regen and the regens seem to complete quicker. Ive ran 5 or 6 tanks through now using Better Diesel FBC and I am a believer.
120 between regens is suspect to me
i would use a cetane boost additive, question the oil brand I am using, have a service department verify my glow plugs are working....glow plugs are used during cold weTher beyond starts, and check my air fitter .
also keep fuel in tank above 1/4 since below 1/4 fuel sloshes and could lead to air entrapment
also check tires for correct psi.
something is not right ....you should investigate further.
