I had the original OEM cab lights on my truck when I bought it. They were faded, clouded and a couple of bulbs burnt out.
I did want to remove the base from the cab and break the factory seal. Thankfully, I bought LED bulbs and new covers to fit on the PEM base.
They have been on there for 5 years now and still look great.
Only the cover is/was available at the time and they came in several colors. If you have a leak or just want different shaped housings, I would suggest new housings. If you only want to freshen the cover up or change the color, go that route instead.
Thanks Sous. I think this is the route I'll go. I already decide to Not take down the liner. Some things just do not go back where they were for some people. I'm just wanting mine to work. I got two that are fatigued from the heat of the bulb. I can change them and they last for 2 days to 2 weeks. The LEDs shouldn't get as hot. I'll give it a go.
