Not sure why you would want to pull the liner when all you have to do is remove the one screw in the back of the lens, then flip it forward to expose the bulb.
Thanks man. I've got something that will seal for sure. This stuff is amazing.
The tube says 400* that’s IMO that’s not rated high enough. The roof easily gets hotter than that sitting in direct sunlight. If the stuff starts to melt it leak down and eventually you’ll have a water leak. I would use gasket making material or OEM.

I’m assuming he’s replacing the whole fixture and not just the bulb. If he’s just replacing the bulb then yeah just pull the cover off.
NOTE: OP seal the seams on the new LED’s with a clear sealant (silicon will work here) or you’ll most likely end up with moisture in them very quickly. I have replaced the fender marker lights on my Dually several times. Every one I bought got moisture in them until I sealed the seams on the last set. The clear silicon goes on white and drys clear so you can see where you’re putting it.
I am replacing the entire fixture. So the line needs to come out. I do disagree with the temperature of the hood or cab reaching 400° F in direct sunshine light though. I recently resealed the oil pan. I didnt get enough OEM sealant at the very front of the pan. It leaked a little oil but only at higher than idle rpm's. I used some of this sealant after cleaning as much metal as possible with denatured alcohol. That was 10 days ago and still no leaks.
Remove the pillar trims, door seal rubbers, overhead console pulls off, remove sun visors, then the liner will pull down. I think that's everything.....

Thanks, is it just held in with clips like the pillar clips?
