Dose any one know if ford made a 79 f150 single cab short box 4x4 and what is the highest trim model ford made in 79?

Lariat was the highest trim level, it was introduced in 1978. Others from the cheapest to the most expensive: Custom, Ranger, Ranger XLT all available 1973/79.

Welcome to FTE. Yes Ford made a 79 F150 single cab, short box, 4x4...and probably a fairly large # of them. They seem to be quite a sough after set up due to the short bed. And that is a "Ranger" Lariat correct ND?
