Sometimes I just have a few free minutes so I hit a quick project on Hayride. Today I ordered another set of window crank handle *****. This set from carparts.com. At least the pic looks right. Most everyone sells a replacement that fits something. But not an original 78 F150. LMC tech line told me I have to order their handles for the ***** to fit. I don't need handles.
Next little thing is my underhood light fell apart. I can't find this simple thing anywhere. Many light fixtures/setups online but nothing resembling original. Anyone have a place to get one? Besides a recycle yard. The few we have around here only keep 1995 and newer.

Ford did not furnish the clear **** by itself, it was only available with the handle.
And...only 1973/79 Ranger XLT's and 1978/79 Lariats had clear *****. Custom/Ranger used colored ***** that were available by themselves.
There are two different Ranger XLT handles: 1973/76 is one type, 1977/79 (including 1978/79 Lariat) is the other.

I think those have mercury switches in them, and some salvage yards remove them before putting the vehicle out in the yard. Might be a state thing, or federal...
A good bet is a private seller parting out a '70s Ford.
