what do you guy's think of this set up what are the pros and cons? Does it have any benefits? I'm sure you guy's know what this does but just incase it deletes the CCV tube that goes from the driver side valve cover to intake. It reroutes the tube out of the engine bay to under the truck keeping the gasses from going into the intake. My concern is that there will no longer be any oil getting into the intake which I thought it lubricated the compressor side of the turbo and the charge air cooler lines and intercooler. I'm thinking taking that away could be bad but I've talked to guy's on other forums that say that doesn't matter. But I'm not really sure what the benefits are here if any. What are you guy's opinions?
I don’t care what anyone tells you, your intake doesn’t need any lubrication, it just gunks up your turbo and makes your CAC boots slick and gunks up your intercooler. I’m at over 18k on mine and nothing but great things. I replaced my CAC boots, cleaned and powdercoated my CAC pipes, new aluminum intercooler, new Powermax turbo, S&B Stage 3 intake...I can crack it all open right now and it’s bone dry like it’s supposed to be.
$10 is all it takes. Two stainless hose clamps and 8-10 feet of 1” heater hose to route it under the frame. Plug the intake with a rubber plug with a bolt and washers to compress the plug. Done
is this something all year 6.0's should consider ? i have an 07 and have noticed gunk around my CAC boots
I’m about to add a CCV6000 coalescing filter and go back to the intake so I maintain crankcase pressure. I want to keep my intake and turbo looking like this! This is after 16,000 miles without the nasty oil vapor going through the system.
