I BROKE IT!!
Been having trans problems since I bought the truck (this year). Got it stuck in third and had to drop the trans to get it out. I was going to install a rebuilt, but the builder sent the wrong one.
So I put it back in and kept driving. Well this morning on the way to the shop it POPPED out of second under acceleration, where it was only doing that changing from accel to decel before.
I bought a rebuild kit a while back with bearings, seals, and synchro's but someone said I need a new main shaft as well, and 2nd is awfully noisy, should I get that gear? Part numbers?
I'm confident in my abilities to build the trans since I am a full-time mechanic,k even though I haven't rebuilt a standard, through words of encouragement from Baddad and 65GASHOG.
While the truck is down I plan on going through the column. The shift bowl is worn at the pivot from trying to hold it in 2nd gear. I got one of those. I got the numbers for the upper and lower bearings and sleeves./ I need the part # for the bushings tha go in the shifter arms, where the shift rods go, and I heard about some nylon shifter shims that go between shifter arms?
Thanks in advance!,

I need the part # (7343) for the bushings that go in the shifter arms, where the shift rods go, (none) and I heard about some nylon shifter shims (7D363) that go between shifter arms.
