[...] 4. Depending on the trim of your truck, Rigid offers a 6" light bar kit that will fit in you upper grille.[...]
Or save $500+ and get the Rough Country kit. It fits great and the LEDs throw a ton of light. If you're looking for offroad type lights (not used in traffic), then I'd start here with these grille mounted lights. Then, if that's still not enough, add another light bar as shown above.
I have the RC grille lights and they're wired into an Upfitter switch. Really like these for dark roads.
If you're looking for on-road lights (to be used in traffic), then you're sort of stuck. Brighter bulbs generally (not always) just look brighter to oncoming traffic and don't end up throwing a lot more light for the driver. You really only improve the headlights for driving when you replace the headlamp fixture.

Rough Country is not known for quality or product longevity. We don't carry a single part from them for that reason.
67L48 - I looked at the Rough Country kit. It looks very nice. Do you have it on your truck? Any photos?
Thanks.
I don't have any photos of them in use. They're not as bright as 20+" LED bars and such. I like the clean installation of the "in the grille" lights. Again, if you need to throw more light, then you're really stuck with various longer light bars that are either bumper-mounted or that fit in the bumper holes (and consequently block air flow to your radiator and transmission cooler ... which is a no-no for me, since I tow up mountains).
Also, as Nick states above, it turns out that a $660 light is better than a $150 light. In case that wasn't obvious, what he says is true. If you carry expensive, high-end gear, then Rough Country probably isn't on your shelves. If you're building a rock crawler to take to Moab, then, yeah, you're probably not shopping out of the Rough Country catalog. Rigid and Baja Designs are top quality and priced like the products were milled from a block of precious metal. Cheers.
Please tell me more about this light bar and how its mounted. I am looking to do the same thing in the same location at some point. Thanks! Looks Good!
My truck came equipped with the LED light package which I very much appreciate. All of the lights are incredibly bright. Still I want to add more brightness.
I want to add a light looking at the roadsides left and right because of deer. I do not want to hit a deer, and definitely do not want the damage to my new truck.
67L48 - thanks for the photo. Your truck looks great. I really like the look of those light bars - they look like they belong there. I like accessories but don’t want to take away from the looks of my “very pretty truck” as wifey describes it.
Mack3006 - I join in asking about the details on your light bar as well. I want to add a lot of light for driving / working in the wilderness areas. I want to add lights to the rear too.
Have you guys found that the info is correct that the LED lights do not draw much current?
To everyone, thanks for the very helpful photos and specs.

One way to do this is with hood hinge mounts and cube lights. It sort of defeats one of your other principles of a more integrated look ... as the hinge-mounted lights kind of stick out. But, it's one of the best ways to do what you want: lights that can be directed to the sides.

Super easy. I grabbed some cheap 6" flood lights off of amazon. Work great. If I have to replace them every year for the next 20 years, they'll still be more affordable than the quality brands. I have them tied to an Upfitter because I definitely don't want them to come on every time I'm in reverse ... way too bright for that.

I bought what look like pretty much the same lights from Amazon. Bolted them to the underside of my running boards with factory nuts and plugged them into the wiring harness that resides alongside the frame. Nice puddle lights when I open the doors. This was on my 2017. Kept the lights when I traded but have yet to mount them to my 2019.
67 - Thanks for the reply. The hood hinge mounted lights are truly a blast from the past. They were on our old pickup truck and back then were called cowl lights. They mounted in that same area. The truck was a 1931 Ford Model A. I have attached a photo that shows a pickup with cowl lights. I do not know how to enlarge a spot on the photo. The truck in the photo was not mine, just grabbed from the internet. Zoom in to see the Cowl lights.
I read somewhere here that somehow the fogs were changed to floods and aimed wide.
i will do the same as you with the rear lights. Selective use is my plan as well.
It is great that of course the diesel has two batteries and the truck also has the extra extra heavy duty alternator. So that is a 3x duty on a Super Duty. No wonder these trucks are so capable they are over the top!
Poncho - Great idea! I will do the same for sure. Because of my business and working in wild areas alone this new truck is a complete improvement and life changing event. So much safer and more capable than I ever could have dreamed. Going from an old truck to the F-350 diesel keeps me smiling all the time.
Over the winter which is my off season I will add the front, rear, and now side lights. I am also planning to add a Ranch hand or similar front end and 16.5 ton winch.
