That's a wrap......

Well our first trailering season is in the books....well, we use to have a pop-up years ago, but I mean a full size unit.
Even at 26 feet, I barely made it in, and through, the campground, the roads were very tight, trees right up the side of them, big trees too!

Little chilly, had to run the furnace a few times, and I did know I had a heat pump too, as I couldn't figure out why the roof unit came on as well....duh.

Gonna put her up for winter, and start planning for spring

a few pictures of our last outing....enjoy!

Nice pics, where is that? I don't mind camping in cooler weather, but my kids sure complain. Maybe I should go without them, that might solve two problems, although could create some others.

Its in Washington. Whidbey Island, Deception Pass Campground.....

About 90 minutes south, from the Canadian border at Vancouver BC.

GREAT spot for kids, a ton of things for them to do in the SUMMER when the lake has canoes, etc....

Yes, we did, and water, no sewer at the spot, a 5 buck dump fee on the way out ( honor system ) . Most sites do not have water or power, and showers are pay for a couple minutes per "token" you need to purchase in advance. A very good area to see lots of sea life, and salmon fishing can be real good in season from the shore....

We have found that small space heaters are great for knocking the chill out of the camper instead of running the furnace. We also have an electric fireplace that is a space heater.

Same here, the ONLY time our gas furnace was run was during the initial testing of all the trailer systems. Between the electric fireplace and a small electric space heater in the opposite end bedroom (only needed when pretty cold out) we have been comfortable even with overnight temps down in the low 30*s and snowing. But we do typically only stay at full hookup (or at least water and electric) sites, once I finish the genny carrier I'm building we will be doing some boondocking, maybe then the furnace will see a little use.

Please post picks of the Genny carrier. We are thinking the same thing, our Surveyor has a factory rack and the power outlet is on the back of the rig. Too many places to go that don't have power.
