Any secret's on having new carpet sit flat all over like it's suppose to ? Let it sit out in the sun for a few hours, adhesive ? What about cutting the hole for the dimmer switch-razor knife ?
There's about a billion videos on youtube that walk you through this.
But yes, lay it out in the sun to warm and relax it, use a razor to make your cuts, never a drill. Take your time, expect to trim things as they purposely give you extra material. Might need a heat gun to help form the carpet around things. Also be prepared to treat any rust you will likely find. Prior to installation would be the ideal time for POR15 or some other rust treatment. I wouldn't use any adhesive, never seen it used and you want to be able to remove it if ever needed. The sill plates, seat and shifter boots will hold it all in place.
