New carpet ?

Around the holidays I treated my 79 supercab to some new carpet from LMC. wont be going in until weather gets nice..problem is it was in such a small package that it has a ton of creases and folds..have had it laid out since i got it and they have yet to come out. Anyone run into this or have trick to take them out...im tempted to return the carpeting. Thx

Lay it out on a warm day and most of the creases will relax. ... and install it in the late afternoon for the same reason.

You could use a ironing board.

I installed new carpet in my '07 F150. Once installed, the wrinkles relax and disappear.
Like HIO said, laying it out on a warm day will help.

It is tough to find a warm day from October to April in the northern states when you are free to lay the carpet out in the snow. LOL. I bought a new carpet in January way back in the winter & have been waiting for a nice hot day when I can do the carpet thing. I finally used a heat gun to relax a few of the wrinkles CAREFULLY. And yes ,they are ironing out a bit now that it is installed. I expect it will completely flatten after a bit. gary

I have a new blue carpet that I want to dye black (or perhaps red) and put in Cletus (see signature). Anybody done this? Tips/suggestions?

Hijack over - thanks.
