Vent Window Rivets

Not to put anybody on the spot, but I too would REALLY like to see a write up with pictures on these door vent windows, how to get them out, and how to disassemble. Both of my triangle windows are missing the chrome “locking” latch, and I don’t even have a start of a clue on how to get them out and what I will have to source and replace.

As far as the locking chrome handle...1st off does your vent wing still have the little stud that the locking handle fits on? Like in the below pic? If your studs are broke you need a new vent wing outer metal piece that holds the glass.
2. You can get and use the locking handle in a black plastic version (locking and none locking) and a chrome (locking and none locking version). Either handle version is held on the mount stud with a VERY VERY small roll pin. You remove that roll pin by very carefully driving it out with a very small pin punch.
3. Remove and reinstall. SO if you can locate some repops, NOS or JY ones (if you are JY shopping, have fun driving out that small roll pin). PITA. More to follow.
