March thanks for the detailed and way better pic. Skyhawc can you do a tech type thread follow up write up with pics and or a walk thru on the vent wing removal process?

As far as the locking chrome handle...1st off does your vent wing still have the little stud that the locking handle fits on? Like in the below pic? If your studs are broke you need a new vent wing outer metal piece that holds the glass.
2. You can get and use the locking handle in a black plastic version (locking and none locking) and a chrome (locking and none locking version). Either handle version is held on the mount stud with a VERY VERY small roll pin. You remove that roll pin by very carefully driving it out with a very small pin punch.
3. Remove and reinstall. SO if you can locate some repops, NOS or JY ones (if you are JY shopping, have fun driving out that small roll pin). PITA. More to follow.
