What has everyone used to replace their solid rivets when replacing seals in their vent windows? I have limited space to keep truck out of the weather, so need to know size & source so I can get the new rivets in hand before tearing down my doors to do full seal overhaul.
Are we sure about that? If you pull the complete window and track I think the riveted swing point bracket is held on by 2 screws. Sorry it is so blurry and I can not 100% remember.
One of mine was missing so I have a small screw in it now and the other side the bracket that the rivet goes through is bent so I need to drill that one out as well so I would still be interested in where to find replacements.

This is good to know. I haven't had the vent window assemblies out to see this, in my past experiences with older Ford Windows, and the Vent windows in my CJ7, they were always riveted. (Hell my 62 Galaxie even has the window seal on the vent post riveted into place)
March thanks for the detailed and way better pic. Skyhawc can you do a tech type thread follow up write up with pics and or a walk thru on the vent wing removal process?

Not to put anybody on the spot, but I too would REALLY like to see a write up with pictures on these door vent windows, how to get them out, and how to disassemble. Both of my triangle windows are missing the chrome “locking” latch, and I don’t even have a start of a clue on how to get them out and what I will have to source and replace.
