Help!!!!!!!

My front wheel cylinders won't release there brand new. I just got the truck on the road. This is the second set of brakes I wore off in a week the truck has power brakes done by the previous owner and I bought the truck with no brakes. I'm wondering if the previous owner put the wrong master cylinder on or if maybe he put the proportioning valve

could my master cyl. be screwed and not be letting the fluid back
to the reservoir

or could it be a screwed residual valve not doing it's job

thx

I would jack up the front end and feel the drag on the front tires when rotated. Then I would disconnect the brake pedal from the booster rod. Let the rod come out as far as it wants to without being stopped by the pedal. then check the drag again. If the brakes no longer drag or drag alot less, then the booster rod length is incorrect. That may require just a small adjustment by turning the end of the rod in. Or it may require reworking the rod length if there isn't enough adjustment.
