Is It Needed ?
97 F150 Master Cylinder , The Rear Line Has A Fluid Control Valve Screwed Into The Master Cylinder . It Seems To Be Leaking Around The Head Of It . Can I By Pass This And Put My Line Right Into The Master Cylinder Or Do I Need To Put It Back In ? if i reuse it in the new master it will still leak , dont know if i can get the seals for the thing ?

Is this a standard or aftermarket item?
If it is standard issue and you start bypassing or deleting it your butt could be in big trouble if you run over someone and it is discovered you tampered with a safety system.
Can you take a picture of it or do you know how to use a camera?
The proportioning valve is down on the frame so you aren't so smart either.

PURPOSE
The brake master cylinder fluid control valve regulates the hydraulic pressure in the rear hydraulic circuit. It is located on the brake master cylinder and is screwed into the rear most outlet port.
OPERATION
When the brake pedal is applied, the full brake pressure passes through the brake master cylinder fluid control valve to the rear hydraulic circuit until the valve's split point is reached. Above its split point, the brake master cylinder fluid control valve begins to reduce the hydraulic pressure to the rear brakes, creating a balanced braking condition between the front and rear wheels to minimize rear wheel lockup during hard braking.
In case of front brake system malfunction, the brake master cylinder fluid control valve has a bypass feature which allows full hydraulic pressure to the rear brake system.

That's right I am a supporter. I gladly paid the fee to be a supporter because of all the help I have received and contributed to help keep site around so others can be helped, not have someone come on here and say how this site is no help because someone did not answer your question in the first 5 minutes. Someone tried to help you but you post how fte is no help. What childish comments did I list? All I said was it's lame that you say FTE is no help. That's not childish. Rebocardo was asking if you were refering to your cruise control switch which is a valid question since that was what I thought you were refering to. Not everyone sits here all day long to answer you in 5 minutes. Sorry.
