Gotta check eBay every day. I had an NOS, plus a used one from another member who sold me his after he converted his truck to a 2-speed system. When my original failed this past week, I installed the NOS one I’d gotten with the truck, and was back up and running within the hour. So, of course, I saw this and had to replenish.
You do realize that the folks that actually need one are not cheering for you.
I actually need one myself, Daryl, since I always try to keep ahead on difficult-to-find parts. It’s the only way if you want to keep your truck a long time.
But, at any rate , I am not looking for any cheers. I am just saying that even hard to find parts show up eventually if you are diligent.
I bought a straight Unibody tailgate last week.
If you look, you will find.
There is a guy locally trying to get 2K for an NOS 1964 grill.
I just try to anticipate in advance so I don’t need not overpay in a panic, know what is hard to find vs. common, and check your sources regularly, for me up to 4 times a day. I budget for regular parts purchases. And if I have an unneeded part, I’d rather give it away, or else trade for something I need than sell it.

I have a shed and a garage with a lot of NOS parts that I began collecting in the early 80s. If I was smarter I would’ve expanded my collection. I was a kid in the 80s and only interested in parts for my current vehicles.
I did get an NOS hood for my ‘67 Fastback though, it was very cheap. I still have NOS weatherstrips and vent wing items for my Unibody.

There is another NOS on Ebay for about the same price.
