Identify Front and Rear Differentials
Hi All,
I am trying to identify the gear ratio and exact differentials I have in my truck. I do not have a warranty tag on the truck that is correct.
My Warranty # is F26Ck465432 on the frame of the truck. I have decoded this as far as I am able to and from what I know you cannot identify the trans, differentials or the transfer case from the warranty # alone.
I have narrowed down that my trans is a T98-1R W.S. Div N-2
My Transfer Case is casting numbers are C24-15-2 other numbers on covers are C23-19-8 & C28-19-A also there is a 7F in a triangle and on a small tag right below that is 3-5
I have looked on the diffs and I can only find a MOB on the rear end I have a us pat # 1868618 casting # of 9 or a T 30255 and The numbers engraved are 015341 2393 It has a Dana cover on it.
Front axle has no engraved numbers, I have wire brushed down both tubes on drivers and passenger side and I can find not. I know it is a Dana the casting numbers are 44-6f other casting numbers on other side are 61760-1
634 F 250 transfer Case
Front Axle #'s 64 F250
64 F250 Front end
The only 4 speed available in 1957/64 F100/700 is the Borg Warner T-98.
The only 1957/72 F250 2WD & 4WD rear axle is the Dana 60.
The front driving axle on your F250 4WD is the Dana 44-6F w/a 3,000 lbs. capacity.
Transfer Case is the Dana model 300205-6.
1964 F250 4WD as original: Dana 60 Rear Axle is 4.56-1 .. Dana 44-6F Front Driving Axle is 4.55-1.
Originally there were front and rear AXLE ID tags located under two of the bolts that retain the inspection covers to the housings, but by now, most of these tags are missing.
