Hey guys,
So my windshield wiper switch went bad and I replaced it thinking that would help. Only the highspeed was working, and it is still working. So I am guessing that the govener has gone bad, anyone agree thats what it sounds like? Plus I must be over looking something but can you not just buy the govener by itself and where? I cant find it....with my awesome searching skillz
.... I have intermittant with the delays, and the governor (i spelt like crap) and my dad says it is prob the gov. and so does an 18 year ford mechanic, I just need a place to buy the gov becuase thats what it has to be with a new switch and if the motor was broke it wouldnt work at all
I cant find it without the switch maybe im just not looking :-/ but I am going to get one from a junk yard i believe, or try and find a new grounding spot for it today
ok first sorry for bad typos
but also guys instead of hitting your governor take it out of the cover and check it
I checked mine and I saw a pin wasnt soldered onto the board anymore so I soldered it so that it would make a connection and :-) now they work without spending a dime
hope this helps anyone with the same problem

Ah ha....perhaps that is the issue with my wipers. Occasionally my low speed doesn't work. They work on intermittant and high. No low. I think the motor is fine in that it uses the low speed setting for the intermittant wipe. Perhaps I need to remove my governor and check those solder joints. Once in a blue moon I can get low wiper speed but almost never. Maybe it is the switch. Hmmmm.
yep with me only my high speed worked and the switch was shot because they didnt work always, so i put a new switch in in all hopes the high speed worked fine and then i checked that and literally after i soldered it and had everything on and was like then I was on my way to youth group it just started to rain in all three different levels ahaha
