The internal balance spacer isn't weighted, the external balance spacer is weighted. The flexplate and harmonic balancer are specific to one or the other.
Get the casting number off the block. 1971/78, early 1979 is D1VE-6015-AB or A1B or A2B

okay this is the bottom crank pulley the balancer is what they mount to this is a pic of the spacer this is an internally balanced 460 if it has a triangle shaped weight attached to it it is external that would be mid year 79

But bill if it has the weight on the spacer it will tell you if it's externally balanced which in turn gives you an educated guess on what year it is. and the block number is on the left side as your facing the front of the engine find the last freeze plug just below the head and it's behind it
