I’m pretty sure I’ve read about someone else having this problem a few months ago, but was unsuccessful searching.
Sometimes after a stop, when I press the gas pedal I can feel a “pop” in the pedal along with a slight sound. It seems to me like a torque related issue, where the twist of the engine makes the sound through the firewall and pedals, but I’m not sure. It occurs almost all the time, regardless of how hard I depress the pedal. Anyone else have this “issue?” I’ve checked for loose pedals, screws, bolts, etc. I have no idea!
some have reported the grommet or rubber gasket where the steering shaft goes through the firewall is faulty and lets the shaft bump the bulkhead. worth a look
I posted about this a while ago, my truck still does this. Dealer couldn’t find anything wrong, they replaced to pedal assembly to no effect. It doesn’t seem to be consistent and it also doesn’t seem to be a mechanical issue so far. Put about 80k on this truck so far.
