I keep getting an alert on my phone (Sprint Drive) that the Catalyst System Efficiency is below threshold, then I get an alert that the Catalyst System Efficiency below threshold Bank 1 has been fixed.
Any ideas what might be going on? This keeps happening over and over and I’m worried it’s a precursor to something failing.
What vehicle are we referring to? A catalyst system efficiency below threshold trouble code is a gas engine trouble code. This is the 6.7L diesel forum.

There’s nothing indicating any kind of problem except the Sprint Drive. It’s a module plugged into the OBD2 port to provide WiFi. It also reports vehicle health and status much like Ford Pass.
EGT sensor does sound like the most likely candidate.
Do you have another type of OBDII device with scan tool app you can try to see if it alerts? It is possible the device is reporting this in error or is causing network issues.

I do have an OBD2 scanner I plan to use when I get home. Until then I’m not too worried as everything seems to be working fine and without the cell phone alerts would have any clue there might be a problem.
