Engine Coolant best source?
Hi FTE,
Just bought a new 2013 F150 stx with 60,00 mi. The previous owner never changed the coolant. I see that specialty orange from motorcraft is recommended, of course. I've read bad stuff about mixing with DEX-COOL, so im staying away from that. Here's my question, wheres the best/cheapest place to pick up the stuff without paying a dealership? is it rockauto?

Never hurts to check Amazon, but Rockauto was the cheapest for me last time I needed to buy coolant for my Fusion. Way cheaper than the dealer and none of the local auto parts stores had the Ford specialty green coolant that I needed in stock at all. I anticipate going back to RockAuto for my F150 coolant when that time comes around.

Someone gave you bad info.... Don't mix with GREEN or YELLOW extended life antifreeze... the "ORANGE" in the F150 is the same as DEXCOOL used by GM... You will not have a problem with that. You can buy DEXCOOL at Wal Mart, or other.
