Well moved her a tooth slapped her back togetherand she runs a hell of alot smoother.. Definitly have some air intrusion going on. Maybe one weekend I will just teardown the front end and get her 100%... And I dont play well with whiney hipsters and wannabe bikers.
2 were a little more than hand tight Unfortunately the weather didnt hold off today, but that is what rain gear is for right. Pulled the injectors out and the back 2 were loose as all get out. Ordered up o-rings, exhaust manifold gaskets and timing cover gasket. Going to strip down the front end and static set the injection pump, do the return block off and flush her out really good and switch to ELC that I have available at my shop. Also going to hit up my local diesel injection shop to have these tested and or rebuilt
seeing as you are in Oregon, i would deal with Oregon Fuel Injection for the injectors.
most shops will clean injectors up and call them "rebuilt" .
problem is most of the time they do not replace the important parts, and the engine will run worse with the "new" injectors than they did with the old ones.

OFI rebuilt the IP. PO left a ton of receipts that are all less than a year old. I have a shop my company goes through for rebuilding injectors and pumps. I'm fully convinced the PO had a half trained monkey working this thing

I don't either they make me
I am curious is that a copper Line or a steel Line ?????
I know many injector lines are Copper plated.
you probably don't need to tear into the front end unless you suspect Tom Foolery by the Chimps, or if ya just feel like doing it

LMAO... I just want to throat punch them
That sir, is a finely patinaed steel line... People pay good money to make stuff look old, rusted and well used; it just so happened to come stock on my truck. Sent me injectors off today to have cleaned and rebuilt. All 8 for $160 through my shop

I figured as much but just had to ask since you thought Half Trained Monkeys were working on it

good deal on the Injectors
And I also suspect some tom foolery from half wit chimps and on the other hand I am extremely anally retentive. I feel the need to eliminate any/all possible variables. Do I need to change out the manifold gaskets to the upgraded steel ones, not really, but I'm gonna do it anyway. Do I want to change out the exhaust for something not cobbled together by one eyed bill and his half arsed welding absolutely.. Plus it gives me a darn good reason to grab a 6 pack of my favorite after work adult alcoholic beverages and hide from my wife and kids
I sure can't fault ya for Dat ... I'm pretty OCD meself .... but I've had a few cracked injector lines and they pretty easy to repair if ya can silver solder, just saying
Not that you have any bad lines but it is one of the things I have come across a few times.... I hate to spend Money when I don't have too.... of course it's Mandatory I buy a Jug of Rum every so often ... it allows me to Procrastinate more than I normally do

Honestly I have had mixed results with silver soldering lines. I just find it easier and cheaper to buy a replacement the first time, unless its one of those extremely hard to find parts, its a temporary repair or just plain too expensive. Most of the repairs i deal with in my shop are because the customer went full cheapskate and created more problems. And I absolutely refuse to let any vehicle I own to be labeled as "mechanic special". Even my service truck is held to high standard. My regional manager says I have the best looking and best maintained service truck out of 35 others.
