Take a voltage reading at the wiper motor. Does it match the running VDC off the battery/alternator? It should.
If not start looking at grounds starting with the negative cable off the battery to the engine block.
There should be a couple of ground straps going from the engine to the firewall. They need to be clean and tight. Once cleaned spray battery terminal sealer over them so it last.
LOL, you're alternator is likely fine. I was thinking you had this problem a day or two...not a year
I would guess mechanical interference of some kind...stick, dirt, something bent, etc I'd think if it was a motor or electric switch that it'd be burned out or just quit by now. But strange things happen.
Winner Winner chicken dinner!!!!!
You were right!!
Turns out, when i was in there to swap the motor, I noticed the right side of the linkage was all froze up, i couldn't move it.... not sure why it worked once in a while, except for something in it gone bad.... I got the whole linkage and motor to replace all of it cheap on ebay....
