It appears that you have had the outer rear wheels rotated so the valve stem do not line up, correct?
I have confirmed that the RV Factory uses the TST internal sensors, installs the repeater and supplies the control unit standard. So my new trailer will be setup when I get it. I am thinking about returning the feed through kit and ordering the internal sensors for my truck as that will solve a lot of problems.
Rear wheels have not been rotated , valve stems are facing each other.
MontanaHauler, is this the Milton chuck you are talking about? Millton 553
Kind of spendy, but worth it if it works. However, what should I do with all the four letter words I have saved up for use while checking tire pressure and removing hub caps?
The Milton 553 locking head works great - it also puts 5ft of distance between you and the tire which is a safety issue with steel carcass tires (there is a reason truck tires shops use steel cages to air them up - never stand in front of when airing).
I'm using the color TST 507, new style cap sensors, Ford extensions removed, locknuts only on front wheels, and have the rear duals rotated so the stems are 180deg apart (can install cap on inner with Centramatics).
The flow thru sensors might not work; they are quite a bit bigger. I'm not sure they will do you any good anyway since it is so hard adding and measuring air on these duals.
Very good point. I am really thinking that the internal sensors are the best way to go, even though you need to incur the cost of dismounting the tires to install them. Getting them out of the way would be nice. I did get the valve stems replaced on my trailer with metal ones for $15 each at a Les Schwab dealer a couple of years ago.

I was very impressed by it. My first impression when taking it out of the box was the size and weight, this is an industrial heavy duty air chuck, very well made and the 5' hose is really nice. I am sure that you will find a use for the saved up 4-letter words
Also there is no need to remove the hub caps with this device. The angled chuck head is the secret.
I'm just getting a TST TPMS going on my truck and this thread has some great info. Thanks.
I'm not a huge fan of mounting the receiver/screen such that it blocks my view, so has anyone tried mounting in the sunglass holder? Manos' mounting location is similar, but is outside of the holder.
I never use that thing and the unit fits perfectly there. Plus I can close it up out of the way when I don't need to see it.
I see the cab and chassis show tire pressure detection delete? So maybe the f450 can enable tpms with forscan ? I’m going to see if I get a tpms sensor and try to enable it

I have a 2021 F450 limited with the Ford trailer tpms. The Ford system works on my triple axle rv which runs 110 psi
Do you recall what the part number for the sensors only is? I also have a 21 F450 with the Trailer TPMS and Camera but my dealer has not yet been able to locate me the additional 2 sensors I need for my triple axle 5th wheel.
Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately I no longer have the reciept and they are already installed. They are a different part number from the truck tpms.Did you install yours already? My Parts guy got me the right ones . George (631)475-1133 tell him Jim had you call
We take possession of the 399 this weekend. One of the first projects once it warms up some here in the mid-west is going to be installing the Yaw, Camera and TPMS wiring harness. Once that is installed then it will be to take the trailer to someone who can install the sensors on the 6 tires. Thanks for the info. I will give George a try. I looked on the Nicols site and $83 seemed pricey for a single sensor, however since I am new to these items that may be inline with correct pricing.

In theory, as long as you can find a TPMS sensor that uses the same frequency as the other four, it will work. I've used aftermarket sensors in a couple of my cars. But, I would be likely to get an exact match, so OEM. $83 is expensive, but for an OEM sensor it's not that far off.
