So 2 insider tires, new valve stems installed $20 bucks @ + balance @ $80 bucks each total = $199. I think I got ripped off, dunno, never had 19.5 rims balanced...did I???

What stems did you get?

Mine too. Would it have killed them to turn it out? It would still have been inside the rim.

Are the OEM valve stems that hard to get to on the 450s? I used a long chuck on my rear inner 350 wheels. Havent tried to air up on my new 450 style 19.5 wheels yet.
Should be able to get in there with a long chuck i would think. Only downside to a long chuck is the required use of an air compressor that has a tank.

I couldn't get a long chuck onto the inner valve stem due to the angle of the valve stem and the diameter of the rear hub cap. The chuck would hit the hub cap before aligning correctly, no matter how I twisted/contorted the handle. I could probably get the right angle if I remove the hub cap. But that takes a 5lb slide hammer and a few blows it seems to come off......

I've seen some members here take a long chuck and put a custom "bend" in the tubing to get the right angle for the inner valve stem. That's on my list of things to do now, especially since I can no longer get my hand between the wheels to check pressure (Centramatics now taking up that space).

I tried finding a Ram mount and gave up. I ended up locating it on the left side using a home built piece of stainless steel flat bar bent to hold the TST. I'm still trying to find or build one for the Transfer Flow. I used double sided tape to secure it to the hard plastic LED light in the dash.

1/2" flat bar bracket

I rebent to bracket after this photo to be more level. Dental floss removes the bracket with little difficulty. Then the remaining of the tabe removes by rubbing a finger over it.

Mounted my display out of the way but still easy to check when we are pulling the 5th wheel. I also hate the wire clutter so I wired mine into the up fitter switches. i used the 3m picture hanging strips to mount the TST display and it has been holding like this for 6+ months in my 2019. The older non color style held like this for over 2 year in my 2017.

Young eyes ........

Once you start wearing progressive or bifocal lens glasses everything up close and high is unreadable.

I don't have any issues using a Milton 553 air chuck. It is a dual head, locking chuck with a 5ft hose (you don't want to be standing in front of these tires when airing them up). The angles work for both inner and outer tires, even with Centramatics on. I did have the dealer spin my wheels before delivery so the stems are 180deg from each other rather than accessing from tthe same hole. Even with the Centramatics, I can also get my hands between the stock tires just far enough to get the TST caps on and off (although a bit of a PIA).

I air my 2017 F450 with the pass through TPMS in place. It is tight but I get the chuck on them.

Thanks for the tip on the air chuck, looks nice. Just ordered one on Amazon for $65.

I forgot the hub covers are larger on the 10 lugs.

Hub cover removal is easy with a ratchet strap and a 2x4 or the lug wrench. Very controlled way of removing them without damaging the plastic or chrome coating.

Installed my TST507 yesterday, I took extensions off the back dually tires and left the front ones on . I may remove the front extensions next time I air up tires. Nice system, I got the cap style sensors, haven’t picked up 5thwheel yet yo install the other six sensors. I did find the truck spare only had 35 psi and was a pain to check.

I tried to install my TST sensors yesterday, i have the flow-through ones. No problem on the front wheels but on the back duallies, I could get one on the outer wheel but not on the inner wheel, maybe my hands are too big. Even if I could get the inner's on, I don't think that the outer one would fit as they would hit each other. It looks like i will need to have the outer wheels rotated to provide clearance. I didn't try to take extensions off. Did you use any tricks to get the inner ones on?

While I was at it I checked out my new gauges and Milton 553 air chuck.
I bought a Milton gauge https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and it works great on both inner and outer dually wheels.
I also bought an AstroAI gauge https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which is very nice, has a bigger dial which is easy to read down to 2 lb increments and a nice chuck with a great grip. However the chuck is not angled and will not fit on the inner dually valve stems, so I replace the chuck with a Milton S-690 angled chuck https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1. That works.

Both gauges read the same and also match another gauge that i have, so I think that they are accurate.

I found that my tires were not inflated per the Ford specs on the door frame (90 psi front, 80 psi rear and 90 psi spare). LF was 80 psi, RF was 90 psi, the outer duallies were 80 psi and the inner ones were 105 psi. The spare was 40 psi!

It was easy to let air out of the inner tires using the release on the gauge and I got a chance to use the Milton 553 air chuck with my 5 gal pancake compressor form Harbor Freight which can only get up to 110 psi. It was great to be able to lock the chuck onto the valve stem and be able to let the compressor run as long as needed. The built-in gauge is very nice and easy to read. The 5' hose, in addition to being a good safety factor (don't stand in front of the tire while inflating) was great for airing up the spare, once I crawled under the truck and connected it, i was able to air up the tire from behind the truck which definitely took a while with that compressor. Next on the list is a compressor that will get up to 225 psi as my trailer tires need 110 psi.
