I have a 2013 Ford F-150 3.5 EcoBoost xl love the truck just got recall done on transmission just wondering if anybody can show me a video on how it is supposed to shift without any mods or Tunes so I can have something to reference what's going on with my truck thanks in advance
Are you sure you got the latest and greatest recall done? On mine, the first recall re-flash caused the transmission to not downshift properly, often lugging the engine and requiring "flipping the switch" to lock out higher gears. A few weeks later I got a letter stating they used the wrong program & that I need to have it done again.
Coupled with the re-flash confusion in the beginning with the 3.5 Eco, knowing what I know now, I think my dealer service guy would be getting a bright-light-in-the-face interrogation to find out why a recall screwed up my truck. I might even progress to waterboarding if he didn't fess up.
I have a 2013 3.5 Ecoboost. I tried today to accelerate slowly to 40 mph, then take my foot off the gas. As I hold a constant speed of 40- 42 MPH the truck will stay in 6th gear. Drop below 40 MPH and it will downshift to 5th with no throttle involved... If I push on the throttle to pick up speed at an "average" rate, it will downshift to 4th or even 3rd....... on just an "average" slow acceleration, it will shift at 20- 30- 40- 50 MPH- then 60 into 6th.
