My bed sits about 3/4 of an inch lower than the cab and the body lines are off. Is there supposed to be some sort of mount that is supposed to be at each of the bolt points?
I used conveyer belt to shim mine cut them out with a band saw and drilled a hole in them worked good so far
let me know if you need some ill send you some have a bunch of 1.2 thick belting out back of the shop

I don't think washers would be a good idea. When the frame flexes it would cause a metal to metal friction point that will cause undue wear in that area. I would stick to wood or rubber. My 2 cents.
