Trying to get my 1992 F350 4x4 dually back online. Have a chance to buy a parts truck cheap, it's a 1992 F250 with the same engine as mine (gas 460).
The owner says he put in a brand new tranny just a couple years ago. I used the VIN decoder to try and find out if the transmissions were the same, but the decoder doesn't seem to have that information.
Thanks y'all. Now I realize that I hadn't even stated whether the tranny was manual or auto...whoops!!
Anyway, here's the Certification Label from my truck--does TRANS E denote an E4OD?
(Unfortunately I couldn't view the Cert Label of the parts truck I'm looking at--the driver's door has been damaged and won't open. Maybe I'll just have to try harder next time!!)
