351w replacement

which engines and year can i put in my 84 150 4x4 without making changes? are there any? any help apperciated. thanks jack

Quite frankly any 351 engine would work, go with a 94 + (F4TE engine code) this will give you the roller cam option. Then swap over your timing cover forward and your intake up and your good to go, don't forget to throw on the fuel pump eccentric. If you cannot find a 94+ or care to then any above 84+ as they use a one piece rear main seal which you should have, a little better than a two piece and easier to change if that is no concern then any 351 will work.
