AT Kickdown linkage



can anyone point in the right direction as to what I need to get the kickdown hooked up properly?

This is a Weber carb, it is not original. The original carb for 1977/79 F100/350 would be the Motorcraft 2150 series 2V if the engine is a 302 (F100/150)/351M/400.

What size is the engine?

It's an Edelbrock on a 400. I know I need a new air cleaner base before anyone makes the comment it just broke.

2nd pic in post #1 says WEBER on the side of the carb.

Here's a pic of the 351M/400 linkage w/original Motorcraft 2150 series 2V carb:

Also a fella on FleaBay that will make you a kick-down lever if your dimensions are different than stock. Just search ford truck kick-down lever

The problem is that carb doesn't have the linkage for the lever. Not fixable I don't think.

Edelbrock should have a linkage kit for it. If not you can go to a cable from lokar or autoloc.

Carb casting says Weber because that is who edelbrock bought the molds from years ago.

Linkage is built into the throttle shaft. I think LOKAR would still need the carb part.

On the second pic you have a hole below where the large round spring mounting hole. Looks like a post about 2" long in that hole would allow you to fab up an extension to the transmission lever pretty easily. Does not seem like it would interfere with the original throttle ball linkage.
