Does anyone have a source the the fitting on the filter base where the supply line to the pump and the bleed line hooks up? It's the elbow with a nipple made on it.
Yeah, the older version. The base has just the in and out and a port for the shrader valve. A lot of guys just plug off or put a fitting in that doesn't have the bleed/over flow line that goes to the return lines system. I am switching my 92 over to the old base but I am missing the elbow with the bleed line. I like having the bleed line on. It keeps any air from being forced into the pump. Thanks

That was the exact reason these engines were originally designed with that in there, it makes priming a ton easier if you run out of fuel.
However due to leaky return caps letting the supply drain back to the tank through that little hose it got a bad rep and they said to block it through a tsb.
Its your rig so I definitely say go with what you think will work best for you. I doubt that fitting is still available, ebay may have one. If not a junkyard will if you can find a 6.9
right and after the TSB ford started using a check valve instead of just an orifice to solve the issue. I just researched all this not too long ago too
I wondered if it was still made. The IH number for the base was 1801129C1. I came across the entire base plus fittings a little while back but can't remember where or how I found it. It wasn't that long ago. It was with new fittings. I blew it off because I have a base. I will get with my navistar dealer and see what my parts guy can find.
@ lonestar. I did consider making one or putting in a T and tweeking my supply line.
A lot of trouble to save 12 bucks on a filter. lol.. I have switched my 94 over to the old base so its less filters to keep on the shelf.
Ya know I just might have a couple of those elbow`s with the bleed line fitting.
I changed the hard line to the IP to push lock hose, changed the fitting on the
IP also.
If you send me your info I will mail you one of those elbow fittings....Now where did
I put those fittings...?
