fuel pump w/ filter
Many people are unaware of the filter inside the pump, so they install an in-line filter. Meanwhile, the pump filter is getting more clogged up every day.
The canister (C3AZ-9355-A) and the corrugated paper cartridge filter (C4AZ-9365-B ~ Motorcraft FG-1A) available by themselves.
The canister is obsolete, 100's available NOS, Mac's Antique Auto Parts also has it. The filter is available from Ford/auto parts stores.
So....gas from tank, comes in line, thru filter, out the other fitting hole, up to carb....
I have made bad decisions before in my life, and this fuel routeing might be another one. lol
Look for an inlet and outlet marking?? I bet the line leads to outside of filter and the place for the fitting is fed from inside the filter or its the other way around?
You do need to know for sure what line goes where, before you kit the key.
Ok just off the phone with Chris at Napa...nice guy and explained alot. The silver inlet tube it sticking off the side of the filter and is for the 3/8 folt fuel line from the tank. You will need an 1/2 fitting to thread into the pump body (fitting is FN F-2B) it might be the same one on the end of the ridged line coming from the carb? That is the out let to the carb.
And yes fuel from tank, in line into outside of canister, then thru filter then sucked up and into the outlet to to carb.
At least its available on line.... So this is considered NOS also, correct?

No, but here is an interesting statement about the filter.
"If you buy a used one you run the risk of getting the earlier inferior reproduction canister. They are still floating around out there and some sellers either don't know it or won't disclose it. They don't screw together properly and leak badly."
At least its available on line.... So this is considered NOS also, correct?
So, this means that some of the parts DC is selling, are genuine Ford, not repro's.

Or they install a new gasket (comes with the filter)...without dabbing on a bit of grease.
Most people are unaware that cartridge fuel filters need a dab of grease on the mounting gasket, just like Spin-On oil filters do.
The other problem with the canisters: Many are stuck to the pump as they haven't been removed in a long time.
People place an adjustable oil filter wrench on them, then give a mighty tug. This action causes them to twist, then crack open.
