Tail light moisture issue

I've spent the morning removing all of the LED bulbs in my truck because it'll be traded and gone this week. While removing the reverse lights I noticed some rust on the contacts. Everything was working as it should, I just found this by chance.
Something to think about for those of us who have had our tail light lenses removed for one thing or another.

Yup, dielectric grease to protect from corrosion and lubricate any seals when putting back together so the o rings mesh properly.

Good advice. I'll heed it when the conversion begins on the new truck. I always have a tube of that stuff in the garage.
