2020 decision
Hi, New around here, looking to purchase a dually to pull a 5th wheel, GVW on the trailer is 14k. I was looking at an XLT and with the options I want the price is going to be a little high so I redid everything as an XL and added back options I want, seems like the only thing that I can't get that I wanted was the center console and the power extending mirrors. Now that I have this configured as a 350 I did it again as a 450 and the price was pretty close (around 1k with the 450 being cheaper) I have read the 450 has a much better turning radius but rides worse because of the tires. Am I crazy to be considering a 450?

Go the 450 and don't look back. The turning radius alone is worth the entry. I have a 350 dually with aftermarket Rancho shocks and have ordered the 450 for 2020. I test drove one and my wife and I could not tell any meaningful difference in ride and she tends to be picky about that, and this particular one even had the heavy duty service front springs.
