I was driving home the other night, and my headlights wouldn't come on. Every other light works, except the headlights.
I installed the relay upgrade kit from LMC a few years ago, and has been great.
I was checking it over with my meter, and everything seems to be as it should with the exception of the white/blue wire in the main lighting harness on the passenger side fender apron. It has power when the light switch is turned on, and when the switch is off, it is a ground....
I don't have a manual. Can anyone tell me what these wires are Supposed to be In the light harness?

Its been 6-7 years since I wired this thing, I can't remember what was what.
X2 crappy headlight dimmer switch, maybe a headlight switch Did the in line Plug and Play LMC harness come with in line fuses? And was it a plug into your old headlight harness and then into the new headlights with the option to by pass the low bean option by removing a relay?
Green black
Red blue
Black to the headlight itself.
And it's not unheard of for relays to fail either. Especially the cheap imported stuff. Surprised some of them live as long as they do actually.
But if the dimmer switch shows the lights coming back on with high-beams, it could be the switch, or still be one of the relays. You can swap the relays to see if the trouble then follows.
If not, it's the dimmer switch. If yes, it's a relay.
The dimmer was only a few years old. I went to pull it off to check it, and broke it. Purchased another one today, still same result.
I cant find any instructions online for that kit to double check the wiring, so I am going to rip everything apart tomorrow.
The kit has 2 relays. One for high beam, one for low beam. You plug the passenger side headlight harness(where it plugs into the lamp) into the plug on the new harness for switching. I am getting power to high and low beam at the relays. I was just checking it again and I have power on the relay, where I should have ground. All my truck grounds are new, and all clean. time to start cutting insulation off wires and looking for the culprit.
I found the problem. After peeling apart a bunch of wiring, I found a broken wire. Kind of odd as the casing wasn't disturbed, and it was a factory covering on it. Always seems to be the last place you look. But I have lights!!
