I am wanting to have a spare ecm on hand for our 93 5.0 aod. My parts truck is a 92 5.8 E4OD. I do not think they will swap, but would like to know if there is a data base where i can run the numbers to see if there is a match.
Thanks
Post the catch/strategy/code which is located on the Electronic Engine Control (EEC).
If your truck(s) have original paint, inside the door jam, somewhere, sometimes located on front of drivers door jam near windshield post while door open, there will be a little sticker with 4, sometimes 5 digits. Something like (KID2, CBAZA, C3P2, etc..)
It is possible that the E4OD EEC-IV will work with AOD, just not the other way around. More research will be needed.

It will run the engine fine, but the ECU will throw all codes for the missing E4OD tranny. I ran my 89 F250 I6/AOD with and 92 I6 E4OD ECU. I got tired of too many codes and finaly found a correct automatic ECU.
