Tu Tone paint code
#2
That is a Canadian built truck. The U is Wimbledon White and the D I do not know. It looks tropical turquoise and if your truck is a 1964 there are several threads here on American trucks with code D. Much debate as the master parts catalog MPC does not list code D. I like your colour combo as its bluer than my Caribbean Turquise. As with most slicks they look their best tu tone when a styleside.

What year is this truck? I can decode this, but I need to know the year to decode the TRIM & PAINT codes.
This is a Canadian only VIN and Warranty Plate. US trucks have a different 11 digit VIN and Warranty Plate, the codes are also Canadian only.
4 = V8 engine.
99 = Styleside Pickup.
10 = 100 series.
28 = 128" wheelbase.
L = Left Hand Drive.
154556 = Numerical Sequence of Assembly.
A = 3600-5600 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating range.
F = F100, 128" wheelbase.
5,000 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.
4 Speed Manual Transmission. Need to know the year to determine which 4 speed this is.

4 speed manual is the Borg-Warner T-98.
I cannot help you with the 1964 Canadian paint codes. 1964/72 truck parts catalog only decodes 1965 Canadian paint codes.
1966/68 Canadian trucks use the same VIN, Warranty Plate and codes stamped thereon as US trucks.

The website "mercury.com" shows paint code D is "Peacock Blue", but the date range for the colour chart is rather broad, 1959 to 1968. This paint chip colour is noted for 1966-68 Trucks.
The website "paintref.com" shows a 1964 colour called "Pagoda Green", aka "Peacock Blue" but they note the colour code is B, not D ?
